The rule
Once per season, a Manager may designate one rostered player who is out with a season-ending injury to be held outside that Franchise’s Active Roster and Injured List slots. The Manager retains that player’s rights into the following offseason. The Commissioners must confirm that the injury is season ending before the designation takes effect.
